The concept of God, his Word and will as encompassing past, present, and future is almost universal. God said to Moses, I AM THAT I AM..........Later God reveals a new name to Moses, JEHOVAH.
Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel,
I AM hath sent me unto you.
Exodus 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
The names JEHOVAH and I AM both originate from the same hebrew root word meaning TO BE.

The words --is, are, art, was, wast, and shall be also are tenses of the verb TO BE.

They are associated with the past, present and future. Yesterday, today and forever. The verses in ecclesiastes suggest a circular chain in events. The past reflects the future. The past is now, and the future has already been. This is best understood symbolically with events that parallel each other.
Eccl 3:15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past. [Eccl 1:9]
Hosea 12:10 I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets. [Zec 7:12,Zec 1:4, Zec 7:7 ]
Declaring the end from the beginning through scriptures and history. Ancient history and prophesy foretelling future events both literally and symbolically.
These verses express a biblical concept of predetermination. The end being determined from the beginning.
Isaiah 42:9-10 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.{10} Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.
Isaiah 44:6-7 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. {7} And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them show unto them.
Isaiah 46:9-10 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, {10} Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
If we understand Jesus Christ as the Word and will of God then we can understand a sense of consistency and also another reference to past, pesent and future or eternity.
Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
This concept is stated in the New Testament. The Word being generally being understood as the Son. The cherishing of an only begotten child to a parent likens to the esteem of God's word to him. The God of truth could not swear or testify by any greater than himself (Heb 6:13, Psa 89:34-35). The names , The Word of God, and Alpha and Omega are in a sense, clues to a riddle. Jesus Christ , the Word made flesh was the incarnation of the perfect example of God's doctrine, and also a materialization of prophecy. The prophecies came to be in concrete and material form, from visions to events in history.
John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. {2} The same was in the beginning with God. {3} All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
1 John 5:6-8 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. {7} For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. {8} And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
Revelation 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. [Rev 1:8,1:11,21:6]
The idea is perhaps also subtly stated in the book of Proverbs.
Proverbs 30:4-6 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell? {5} Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. {6} Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
A comparison of Jesus to the word also convey the concept. The word of God is the way of life, and the truth: no man comes to God but by it.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Psa 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
Psa 119:105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Prov 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
Another concept that suggest unity between speaker and doctrine is conveyed by Paul. In the sense conveyed here, there is a union between a person and their word or doctrine. The Word and speaker are as one.
1 Cor 5:3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, [Col. 2:5, 2 Cor 10:11]
1 Sam 3:21 And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.
Christ referred to his body as a temple, but also he can be seen as a spiritual ark of the testimony. The testimony being in his mind.
Exo 30:26 And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony,
Exo 40:9 And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shalt hallow it, and all the vessels thereof: and it shall be holy.
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Isa 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
Christ, glory of Israel and a light to the gentiles, the practice of evangelism reaching to the ends of the earth.
Isa 42:6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
Isa 49:6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
Isa 60:3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
Luke 2:30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, {31} Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; {32} A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
Although the ordinances differ, they have a common end(ultimate purpose). Representing, and reminding of the salvation that's ordained by God for man. The greater working being the will of God to justify.
Psa 51:16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. {17} The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. {7} Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? (Psa 40:6)
Hosea 14:2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
1 Pet 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: (Heb 10:22)
Isa 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
Rev 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
David symbolizes the Anointed of God. He's mentioned prophetically in the latter days. David foreshadows Christ who prophetically characterizes the Word or doctrine of God and those who are joined to it. Hence, the persecution of the prophets, etc. The child being caught up to the throne is representative of the Word coming to power.
Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. {7} Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Psalms 89:19-20 Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people. {20} I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
Jer 30:9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them. Hosea 3:4-5, Ezek 34:24,

The fruits of those who travail with iniquity.
Psalms 7:14 Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood. {15} He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made. {16} His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate. {17} I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
Sons
Prov 31:1 The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy that his mother taught him. {2} What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows?
In the first figure the Egyptians unnecessarily feared the Son of the covenant. Moses is often associated to the law. Jesus with grace. Finally there is judgment.
Exo 1:10 Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land. ...{16} And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live. {22} And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.
In the second figure Herod unnecessarily feared Jesus Christ The Son of the Holy body
Mat 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. {3} When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
Mat 2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.
The the third figure the dragon seeks to devour (lit. or fig.) the spiritual Son.
Rev 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. {4} And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
The letter of the Law
Gen 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: {17} But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
The ten commandments, engraved in stone by the finger of God. Written in stone, the symbol of permanence.
Exodus 31:18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
1 Kings 8:7 For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above. {8} And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day. {9} There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
The intent of the law.......
Mat 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? {37} Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. {40} On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
The law generally was applied to actions and could not make the heart and thoughts perfect.
Mat 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: {22} But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
Mat 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: {28} But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
The word of Grace
Luke 9:54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? {55} But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
When Elijah(Elias) commanded fire to consume his enemies there was an example of swift judgment. It was not unrighteous. Fortunately, there is the gift of grace and time for repentance and justification. Abraham is the first example of righteousness by faith
Gen 15:5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. {6} And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
When performing miracles Jesus at times said, according to thy faith, but also sometimes he said thy sins be forgiven thee. The relationship between faith and remission of sins is shown in a sense by that interchangeable.
Luke 7:48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. {49} And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? {50} And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
Mat 9:2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
Faith is manifested by works,.
Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. {21} Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
James 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

Grace is not a cloak for evil, or an allowance to do evil. The LORD has mercy on whom he will.
Isaiah 26:10 Let favour be showed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.
Proverbs 24:16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
Exodus 33:19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.

The manifestation of the works of God done through us. This precludes self-righteousness and boasting..

John 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Phil 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
The original doubting Thomas. It might be hard to imagine seeing so many miracles but yet having doubt, but times of weak faith, and faithlessness are proverbial problems. From the exodus of the children of Israel to the disciples of Jesus Christ.
John 20:24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. {25} The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. .....{27} Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. {30} But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. {31} And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
However, a little faith can grow into a lot of faith.
Mat 17:18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. {19} Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? {20} And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. {21} Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. [Mark 9:25-29]
Faithfulness
Mat 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. [Mat 24:13, Mark 13:13]
Mark 4:14-20 The sower soweth the word. {15} And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. {16} And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; {17} And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. {18} And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, {19} And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. {20} And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
Repentance
Jer 18:7-10 At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; {8} If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. {9} And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; {10} If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.
The simplest example of overcoming evil with good. Repentance, ceasing to do evil and avoiding the consequences.
Jer 13:15-18 Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD hath spoken. {16} Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness. {17} But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the Lord's flock is carried away captive. {18} Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down: for your principalities shall come down, even the crown of your glory.
Judgment
Eccl 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. {14} For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Without the law and judgment there would be no need for grace.
Without judgment the law has no strength.
Exo 20:18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. {19} And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. {20} And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.
Respect or reverence is sometimes motivated by fear of consequences and at other times through understanding.. .

Grace and mercy are righteous, but so also is judgment.
2 Th 1:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; {7} And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, {8} In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: {9} Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
Col 3:25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
2 Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
John 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. {26} For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; {27} And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
One place for men to judge is in themselves
1 Corinthians 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. {32} But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
Another place is in the congregation. Among people that are bound together by the same doctrine.
1 Corinthians 5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? {13} But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
God judges between himself and man. Conscience and understanding being important factors.
Rom 14:2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. {3} Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. {4} Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. {5} One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
The LORD searches the hearts and all things are not manifest to a man's neighbors.
Jeremiah 17:10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
1 Timothy 5:24 Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after. {25} Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.

The same act performed by different individuals can be pleasing and unpleasing to God. Remember the importance of the heart and freewill in righteousness and serving God.
2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
1 Corinthians 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Simple things that many people could easily do often get neglected.
Matthew 25:33-46 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. {34} Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: {35} For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: {36} Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. {37} Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? {38} When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? {39} Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? {40} And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. {41} Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: {42} For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: {43} I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. {44} Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? {45} Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. {46} And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Charity, the giving of one's self.......
1 Corinthians 13:4-9 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, {5} Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; {6} Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; {7} Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. {8} Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
Works of faith can cover a multitude of sins.
James 5:19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; {20} Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
THE SPIRITUAL AND SYMBOLICAL CONTRASTED TO THE LITERAL AND MATERIAL
1 Cor 2:13-14 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. {14} But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
There is a physical body as well as a spiritual body. Fruits that are fruits that are of the flesh, i.e., children, and fruits that are of the mouth, i.e., words The Son therefore personifies the Word. The natural or literal reflecting the philosophical or spiritual. The deaf hearing, blind seeing, water into wine. Comprehension, understanding, spiritual transformation often can not be readily perceived by the five senses. Symbols can provide a comparison for things that can't be seen or touched, but also they can conceal matters until their time.
These are examples of distinct parables that Jesus told.
Mat 13:31-34 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: {32} Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. {33} Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. {34} All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

THE CARNAL MIND OR NATURAL MIND
Mark 8:34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
In examining self denial, it's interesting to note the first transgression of mankind. Eve was deceived by the serpent, and broke the one commandment that had been given. Also, the fruit appealed to senses, and wisdom was understood to be a desirable thing.
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: {5} For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. {6} And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Temptations in the wilderness
The temptations in the wilderness also involved fleshly convenience and comfort. These at times were placed above belief, and trust in God. Despite all the miracles they had seen.
Num 14:22 Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice; {23} Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:
The first temptation the people murmured against Moses and Aaron after seeing numerous wonders. Free, and on the way to the promised land they longed for the comforts of Egypt, the house of bondage, They hungered and questioned the LORD's intention to deliver them.
Exo 16:2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness: {3} And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.
Although the people complained to Moses and Aaron, the men of God. The murmuring was really against the LORD. The men on their own had not led them or done anything except through God. The LORD led them and provided for them
Exo 16:8 And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.
The simple instructions to gather enough food for two days on the sixth day wasn't heeded.
Exo 16:28 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws? {29} See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
In another temptation, the people tempted the LORD by complaining when they thirsted.
Exo 17:2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD? {3} And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
In the next provocation, The people turned aside. The people were impatient, and provoked the LORD yet again. Moses was away ,up on the mount too long a time for them, and they wanted something that they could see, a god like unto the heathen.
Exo 32:1 And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him. .......{2} And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me. {4} And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
They provoked the LORD again. Instead of hunger, the problem was that they missed the tasty variety of food that they had in Egypt. On the way to the land flowing with milk and honey, they wanted meat besides the manna.
Num 11:4 And the mixed multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat? {5} We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic: {6} But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes. {8} And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil. {10} Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the LORD was kindled greatly; Moses also was displeased. {18} And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.
In those days the judgment of the LORD was often quick.
Num 11:32 And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp. {33} And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.
Miriam and Aaron also provoked the LORD by speaking against Moses. They were lifted up by their pride because he had married an Ethiopian. The punishment against Miriam came swiftly, however she was later healed.
Num 12:1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. {2} And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.
Num 12:10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
In the last provocation, before they were not allowed the land that they had been promised.
Num 13:27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. {28} Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there. {30} And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. {31} But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. {32} And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
The children of Israel turned back in their hearts to Egypt. After miraculous signs, wonders and great deliverance. They feared the dangerous reports of the land.
Num 14:1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night. {2} And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness! {3} And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
Num 14:30 Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. {31} But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised. {32} But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness.
Love and faithfulness are most clearly apparent during difficult times.
Job 1:9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? {10} Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. {11} But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
So often the mind is willing, but the body is tired, hungry, or otherwise uncomfortable and inconvenienced.
Mat 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. {40} And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
Mat 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
The brutish carnal mind. Blasphemous, speaking evil of things it doesn't understand. Brutal like Cain, whose jealousy caused him to kill his brother. Balaam the prophet for hire, or soothsayer who blessed and cursed for wages. Core (Korah) and his group, who envied the priesthood.
Jude 1:10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. {11} Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
2 Pet 2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; .....{14} Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: {15} Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; {16} But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, {20} Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, {21} Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Where is thy God? I can't see him with my eyes. I can't hear him with my ears. I can't feel him with my hands.
Psa 42:10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God?
Psa 73:11 And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
Things such as belief in God, and fasting seem foolish to the natural man.
Psa 69:9 For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me. {10} When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.
Fasting is more than simply not eating and it's not afflicting oneself, but rather it's more about foregoing self desire for others or for something else that's important. The gift of greater faith is given in exchange for fasting and prayer. Fasting shouldn't be confused with anorexia or atonement. ..........
Isa 58:5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD? {6} Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? {7} Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
On the other hand there is the fruit of the Spirit. An aspect of which is overcoming the natural desire for convenience, comfort and self interest. The restraint of characteristics that are ours by human nature.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, {23} Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. {24} And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Eph 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) {10} Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
1 Th 1:3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
Ultimately, through faith we can look to God to subdue the nature we struggle against. The struggle being evidence of our desire and faith.
Micah 7:19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
LIVING WATER , doctrine or words of life as spiritual rain and dew
Deuteronomy 32:1-3 Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. {2} My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass: {3} Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
John 7:37-39 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. {38} He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. {39} (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) [John 6:35; 4:11-14]
Jeremiah 17:13 O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters. [Jer 2:13]
Psalms 72:1,6 A Psalm for Solomon. Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son. {6} He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.
Revelation 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Genealogical, Jesus was the Root of David. However, if we consider Jesus symbolically as The Word then his root becomes the root of the WORD. The root that prevails to open the book. One hint of the use of roots is in the interpretation of the writing on the wall in Dan 5:25. Daniel interpreted UPHARSIN in terms of its root PERES. This idea deals principally with the roots of words. Precept upon precept and line upon line.
Isaiah 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
Isaiah 28:9-13 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. {10} For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

BOOK OF LIFE
The book of deliverance and life, chapters of the word of God. Written in the book appears to symbolize believing in the book .
Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. {22} And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Daniel 12:3-4 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. {4} But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. [Rev. 20:12, 21:27]
The seal of the living God. The seal that the word of God is Truth.
John 3:32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. {33} He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. {34} For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
2 Tim 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
OPENING AND SHUTTING / THE KEY OF DAVID
Rev 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
Ultimately, many things are patterned according to a greater heavenly pattern. Understanding that, the phrase in earth, as it is in heaven can take on a new aspect.
Exo 25:40 And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was showed thee in the mount.
Heb 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern showed to thee in the mount.
The corresponding of things on earth to things in heaven is partially showed here. The pattern of things on earth a reflection of greater things in the heavens.
Matthew 16:16-20 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. {17} And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. {18} And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. {19} And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. [Mat. 16:19;18:18]
Most often we probably think of keys as opening doors and not deciphering. However, deciphering words for understanding can also open doors. There's also a expression of parallels. Loosed on earth corresponds with loosed in heaven. Compare Isaiah 22:20-23 and Rev. 3:7-8 the only two places where the key of the house of David is mentioned. Eliakim receives the Key of the house of David. He opens and shuts in similar phrasing to Rev 3:7-8. For most Judeo-Christian religions the sure place is the word of God. The words of truth in the scripture of truth. Empirically sealing scriptures places a great certainty on the source of the text, but not necessarily on the interpretation. A Comparable example is the numerous religions descending from the same Testaments.
Isaiah 22:20-23 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah: {21} And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. {22} And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open. {23} And I will fasten him as a nail*in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father's house.[Rev. 3:7-8]
*Ecclesiastes 12:10-11 The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth. {11} The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.
MANIFOLD WISDOM
Mark 10:9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
Manifold wisdom and works. Divine multiplicity with a foreordained goal. Certainly weaving words in duality is a simpler than human genetics. So if we believe that God created man then the concept of duality or multiplicity in language is a relatively small wonder..
James 3:11-12 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? {12} Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
Lam 3:38 Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?
Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
THE SWORD
WITH TWO EDGES
The symbol of the sword of His mouth is defined as the word of his mouth. The parallel between word of mouth and sword of mouth occurs in several instances.[Psa 149:6, 55:21, 59:7; Isa 49:2]] If we go a step further then two-edged implies DUALITY.
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Psalms 149:6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;
Rev 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. [Rev 2:12, 2:16, 19:15, 19:21]
DOUBLING
Genesis 41:31-32, Joseph's interpretation of Pharaoh's dream defines the symbolical
significance of doubling.
Genesis 41:32 And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.
In Deut. the testimony of two establishes truth or certainty and one definition for testify or witness is derived from the concept of duplicating.

Deu 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established. [Deu 17:6, Num 35:30]
Duality doubles the prophetic books of the scriptures. Double recompense both pleasant and unpleasant. Another dual is the literal or natural, with the symbolical or spiritual. The idea of doubling appears in several places, including [Zech 9:12, Isa 40:2, Ezek 21:14, Jer 16:18]
Isaiah 61:7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
Zechariah 9:12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;
BACK AND FACE
There is a subtle imagery here of back and face, backwards and forwards. Some languages are written from left to right others from right to left. In this framework, both ways simultaneously. Providing convincing evidence that at least some languages are creations.

Raiments and garments are generally symbolical of works.Hence, you can imagine a transformation of Jesus and a clarification or glorification of his works

TRANSALATIONS
Generally we think of translation as having to do with languages. However, the changing of dominions(2 Sam 3:10) is another form of translation

Dan 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. {14} And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. (Dan 7:27, Rev 11:15)
Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Symbolically, water generally signifies life giving, and doctrine , and wine often denotes vitality or mirth.
John 2:7-10 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. {8} And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. {9} When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, {10} And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
Another symbolic interpretation for wine comes from the effect of excess. Drunkenness, spuing, staggering, swaying and falling. Hence, the cup of fury.
Jer 25:27 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
Isa 24:1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
Isa 24:20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again. {21} And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
Jeremiah 25:27 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and
rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you. {28} And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand

THE CASTING DOWN OF WORLDLY DOMINIONS
Dan 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
BABYLON
Rev 16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. {18} And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. {19} And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
Rev {18:1} And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
THE SPIRITUAL FALL
The book of Revelation shows an affiliation between Babylon and the dominion symbolically called the beast. In the wilderness, Babylon, the whore sits upon the beast.
Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. .....{5} And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
The spiritual fall of Babylon is through idolatry, and various corrupt minds and philosophies. Doctrinal corruption symbolized by whoredom. There are many parallels between the old testament and the new testament prophecies. In many way the prophecies are one, with the older prophecies encompassing two cycles of events.
Rev {18:2} And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
Jer {50:2} Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces. Jer {51:47,52}
The symbol of whoredom reflects betrayal, alienation, and disloyalty. Who can empathize with God? How does God feel when his people forsake him and his ways and take on others? How does a man feel when his wife forsakes him and takes another?
Jer 3:9 And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks.
Ezek 16:17 Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them,
The wrath against her affects all nations.
Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. {4} And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Rev 18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
She is recompensed according to her works.
Rev {18:6} Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
Jer {50:15} Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.
One characteristic of her is heedlessness, self indulgence and conceit.
Rev {18:7} How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. [Isa 47:7-10]
The judgment against Babylon is sudden (Jer 51:8), and symbolized as one hour or one day[Isa 47:9]
Rev {18:8} Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
Isa {47:9} But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments. (Isa {47:11}
In the book of Revelation, a great millstone and the sea are analogous to a book and Euphrates in the book of Jeremiah.
Rev {18:21} And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. {22} And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
Jer {51:63} And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates: {64} And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.
Babylon makes all nations drink the wine of wrath [Rev 14:8]. The nations are deranged(NKJV) or foolish because of her wine (false mirthful doctrine), and by her sorcery and treachery all are deceived.
Rev {18:23} And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
Jer {51:7} Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD'S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.{Rev 18:3}
The blood of all the apostles, prophets, and saints is avenged on her [Rev 18:20]. Babylon follows in the wickedness of some of the preceding generations. Babylon is the generation of his wrath and makes a-tone-ment for all the blood of the righteous, which she too has shed and thereby condoned.
Rev {18:24} And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
Luke 11:49-52 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute: {50} That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; {51} From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation. {52} Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.
Babylon is called the most proud, and she exalts herself and fights against the Lord.
Jer {50:24} I have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou art found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against the LORD.
Jer {50:29} Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of Israel.
Jer {50:31} Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord GOD of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee. {32} And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him.
When her judgment comes, she lamented but nonetheless abandoned.[Rev 8-9]
Isa {47:15} Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.
The distress of the day of the LORD is often compared to the anguish of a woman in travail.
Jer 50:43 The king of Babylon hath heard the report of them, and his hands waxed feeble: anguish took hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in travail.
The word sea symbolically meaning nations or peoples allows a wider application to the verse. Therefore during one period it can be figurative and during another period literal, and at another time both.
Jer {51:41} How is Sheshach taken! and how is the praise of the whole earth surprised! how is Babylon become an astonishment among the nations! {42} The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof. {43} Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land wherein no man dwelleth, neither doth any son of man pass thereby. {44} And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed up: and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him: yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall.
Babylon is the destroying mountain that destroys all the earth[Jer 51:25]. She invokes the wrath of the the Lord God Almighty.
Isa {14:16} They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; {17} That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
Note a similarity to Egyptian oppression in Ancient Babylon. They refused to let them go and subsequently were plagued. The doctrine of bondage and oppression create that which could be called spiritual Egypt by reason of the doctrine held.
Jer 50:33-38 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together: and all that took them captives held them fast; they refused to let them go. {34} Their Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is his name: he shall thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon. {35} A sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith the LORD, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise men. {36} A sword is upon the liars; and they shall dote: a sword is upon her mighty men; and they shall be dismayed. {37} A sword is upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that are in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword is upon her treasures; and they shall be robbed. {38} A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of graven images, and they are mad upon their idols.
One derivation of Babel is confusion and another is mixture. In Jeremiah her people are described as mingled.

Often the LORD pleads through catastrophic natural disasters. Dissension in the household and among friends.
Micah 7:5 Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom. {6} For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house. {7} Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. {8} Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me. {9} I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness. {10} Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.
Nahum 3:4 Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.
Obadiah 1:15 For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.
Some of the transgressions of Babylon in the book of Jeremiah centering around pride and preeminence. Babylon moves in unison to desolation with Edom Babylon. Jer. 50:44 and 49:19 being almost identical. Who appoints the time for God? Who declares who stands before him?
Jer {50:44} Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan unto the habitation of the strong: but I will make them suddenly run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?
Jer 49:19 Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?
The day the earth moves. The prophesied event similar to that in the book of Revelation. The earthquake of Revelation being an ultimate one. Rev. 16:18
Jeremiah 49:20 Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them. {21} The earth is moved at the noise of their fall, at the cry the noise thereof was heard in the Red sea. {22} Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
Jer 50:45 Therefore hear ye the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitation desolate with them. {46} At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations.
Note Edom's pomp and false demeanor of righteousness. The one chapter of the book of Obadiah is about Edom and similar to Jer 49:7-.
Isaiah 63:1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. {2} Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat? {3} I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
Edom receives a symbolical wound. A wound of reproach for a lack of understanding.
Oba 1:7 All the men of thy confederacy have brought thee even to the border: the men that were at peace with thee have deceived thee, and prevailed against thee; they that eat thy bread have laid a wound under thee: there is none understanding in him.
Edom drinks upon the holy mountain.
Obadiah 1:16 For as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been.
Lam 4:21 Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked. {22} The punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; he will no more carry thee away into captivity: he will visit thine iniquity, O daughter of Edom; he will discover thy sins.
The over exalted titles of mystics. Superlative authority or goodness belongs to God and not men. The adulterated doctrine of masonry also gives rise to the "prophesied" NEW WORLD ORDER. Masonry having been mingled from mysticism. The two branches of advanced masonry, the Scottish Rite and the York rite reflect the early Masonic rituals of Scotland, and York, England.

Some religions forbid masonry and comparing their practices to a variety of scriptural doctrines reveals why.

Masonry has strongly been associated with some governments and even George Washington was a mason. The pyramid on the back of the American dollar bill is Masonic. What could you liken the eye of God to. The lifted up eye atop the pyramid is obviously the eye of a man. Some call it the all-seeing Masonic eye. The power of it's philosophy is reflected in the military pyramid of command. The number of individuals decreasing as rank and authority increases. Beyond that there are satellites that can view a man on the ground from space. [tv news]. The Capitol Building was also designed in somewhat of a pyramidal fashion. Next to the tall center are the two shorter houses and beneath the central portion is an area that was originally designed to be a crypt that now serves as a museum.
Even from the days of ........Judgment often comes upon the descendants of those who have erred and continued in error.
Malachi 3:7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return? {8} Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? Rev 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Dan 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
Dan 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
A jealous God
The Image of Jealousy is comparable. It too has a seat and is an image. The provoking of God to jealousy indicates an idolatrous image. For the Lord thy God is a jealous God.
Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
Ezek 8:3,5 And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy. {5} Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.
One of the most popular idolatrous symbols is the Egyptian pyramid. The sin being not so much in architecture, but in the beliefs that men attach to it, such as pyramid powers.
Exodus 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. {3} Thou shalt have no other gods before me. {4} Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: {5} Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; {6} And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
The worship of the evil ones is closely akin to cringing and cowering as opposed to reverence or adoration. Similarly, compare the admiration(Rev 17:6) is probably more like unto a ghastly amazement. The beast is an incredibly intimidating figure, and people wonder who can oppose such an overwhelming dominion . The militaristic or warring nature of the beast is mentioned.
Rev 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
4352. proskuneo, pros-koo-neh'-o; from G4314 and a prob. der. of G2965 (mean. to kiss, like a dog licking his master's hand); to fawn or crouch to, i.e. (lit. or fig.) prostrate oneself in homage (do reverence to, adore):--worship.
One aspect of the beast, the little horn is a mouth of blasphemy and speaking evil against the holy. The little horn seeks to alter the laws and times. New laws for a new age? They both war against the saints.
Rev 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. {6} And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
Dan 7:21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; {22} Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
Dan 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Babylon and the beast have a great dominion over multitudes.
Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. {8} And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Rev 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
THE god of forces
Dan 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. {37} Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god:
for he shall magnify himself above all. {38} But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
2 Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; {4} Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
Arms pollute the sanctuary and end the daily sacrifice.
Dan 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
Final Judgment. The Divine law of recompense. As proverbial as an eye for an eye and reaping what one sows.
Rev 13:9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. {{10} He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
Dan 7:11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
Dan 7:18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.
Revelation 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
Revelation 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
Revelation 13:13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
There is a oppressive philosophy associated with the image. It "speaks" evil and horrific tyranny in a deceptive manner. The prophecy describes an international icon or image and a system or doctrine that seek to kills opposition. What doctrine could be so deceptive and cause honoring God to be a crime? What fault can there be in peacemakers talks of peace?
The pyramid, beautiful architecture and an image of order and unity.
The pyramid is not of God unless God is pharoah and He is not. The militaristic pyramid may reflect order, unity, but also totalitarianism.
Daniel 8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. {15} And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Dan 7:23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
The mark is symbolical, and non literal. It can be equated to a designation. Buying and selling can also be associated with working. In Greek and Hebrew name can also be associated with authority.
Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: {17} And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. {18} Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
Here too is wisdom.
Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
Psa 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Prov 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Dan 11:45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
The coveted place of God
Even the anointed cherub was not infallible. The anointed cherub corrupted his wisdom and gloried in riches, beauty and brightness. The creation can not be greater than the creator. The measure of his covetousness. The deification of the creature upon the mountain of God is a recurring theme [ Ezek 28] and prefigures the final desecration.
Lucifer prefigures the King of Babylon in Isa 14:12. The angel who wanted to be God prefigures the man who wanted to be God.
Isa 14:12-14 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! {13} For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: {14} I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Ezek 28:2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
The reign of an Antichrist. Denying the Father and the Son, or by implication God and his Word[1 John 2:22-23] and denying Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, which is paralled by the materialization of the Word of God[1 John 4:3]. His performing of the final indignation is prophesied by Daniel. The indignation having been appointed by God, signals the time of judgment.
Offences must come
The God of forces, like the warring dominion called the beast. The kingdoms (horns) are appointed to submit to the beast until the indignation of the whore. At which time the horns take revenge against the whore for having led them to disaster.(Comp. Habakkuk 2:7)
Rev 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. {17} For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

Matthew 26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. [Mark 14:21]
Matthew 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. {7} Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! [Luke 17:1,2]
Jesus also mentioned the abomination of desolation prophesied by Daniel and the following tribulation.
Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) .....{21} For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. {22} And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
The end time profaning of the holy mountain by the heathen. Preceeding the time of trouble, a type, prefigured by Lucifer [Ezekiel 28] places his palace in the holy mountain. The final act.
Dan 11:45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
Isa 47:15 Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.
Habakkuk
The prophecy of Habakkuk describes a similar offense.
Hab 1:4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth. {5} Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.
The apostle Paul says it, somewhat differently
Acts 13:41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.
The covetousness for the holy by the wicked.
Hab 1:6 For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs. ....{10} And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it. {11} Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.
An insatiable proud man that gathereth unto himself all nations and people. Certainly many eyes were on America with the expectation of the new world order. The formation of such things as the European Common Market and the North Atlantic Free trade Agreement. Of course from biblical text such expectations might be disputed. From the special translation it might have even been determined that the appointed harvest had been made sure.
Hab 2:5 Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people: {6} Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!
The spoiling of the nations and their retribution.
Hab 2:7 Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them? {8} Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
Tribulation
Mark 13:19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. {20} And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. [Mat 24:15-22]
Most emphasize the abundance of grace, but also there can be a severity in the pronouncement of sentence by the Lord God.
Ezekiel 14:13 Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it: {14} Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD. {19} Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast: {20} Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.
Here is a parable about oppression and the judgment against desecration of the holy. Judgment delayed and a time of grace for repentance is often seen as none judgment.
Eccl 8:9 All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the sun: there is a time wherein one man ruleth over another to his own hurt. {10} And so I saw the wicked buried, who had come and gone from the place of the holy, and they were forgotten in the city where they had so done: this is also vanity. {11} Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. {12} Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him:
Stolen waters and the transgression by wine.
Prov 31:4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: {5} Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.
Prov 9:17 Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant. {18} But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
The first messageThe correct interpretation would be that judgment has been surely appointed by God. Several signs having been made manifested. The act of being judged should not be confused with the act of being sentenced.Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Revelation 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
The second message
{8} And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
The third message
{9} And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, {10} The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: {11} And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. {12} Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Ezek 12:22 Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth? {23} Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.
The words of the vision are sealed. How? Most people recognize that prophecies are sealed with symbolism. However, linguistics and etymology offer another method of sealing prophecies. The deaf hearing and the blind seeing, spiritually or symbolically are events which parallels the literal physical healing by Christ. Compare seeing and hearing with the eyes and ears to obedience and comprehending towards eternal life.
Isaiah 29:11-12 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: {12} And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
Isaiah 29:18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.
The vision speaks at the appointed time of the end. Until then it is not understood.
Daniel 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. [Dan 12:4]
Habakkuk 2:1-3 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. {2} And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. {3} For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
One aspect of the vision is the enlivening of the scriptures, with power, meaning, understanding and events.
Deu 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. {19} And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him
At that time the words are no longer prolonged over time.
Ezekiel 12:27-28 Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off. {28} Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.
The judgment appointed by God begins. The only choice for men is whether or not they are prepared.
Rev 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
Isaiah 24:21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. {22} And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited. TEMPTING AND TESTING GOD THE SEARCH FOR A SIGN
Mat 16:4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.
The sign of the the prophet Jonah
The three days or three and a half days and the forty and two months are similar prophetic periods.
Mat 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: {40} For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. [Mat 16:4, Mark 8:11-12,[Luke 11:29]
Rev 11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
The figure of swallowed up and spit out is also found in the book of Jeremiah.
Jer 51:34 Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly with my delicates, he hath cast me out. ...{44} And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed up: and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him: yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall.
The revelation of the Son of man. When they shall look on he whom they have pierced.
Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. {27} They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. {28} Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; {29} But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. {30} Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. [Mat 24:37]
The faithless seek a sign
The desire for a sign is often equated to faithlessness, and faithlessness is sin.
Isa 7:11 Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above. {12} But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.
Tempting God
God is proved through obedience to him. Intentionally preparing test or extraordinary situations is generally considered tempting him.
Matthew 4:5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, {6} And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. {7} Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Unless it is given to a man to believe, no number of miracles can suffice. After countless miracles the unbelievers said, do yet another miracle, come down form the cross and we will believe.
Matthew 27:40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross..........{42} He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
Some men are not given to believe.
Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
Another form of tempting God is the tempting of the God behind the man. Jesus said the Father in him does the works.
John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
The children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron. Although, they were leaders, the LORD was their leader and provider..
Exodus 16:6 And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt: {7} And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that ye murmur against us? {8} And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.
Exodus 17:2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?
The thief in the night
The time is at such a time as you think not. Often compared to a thief in the night[1 Th 5:2, 2 Pet 3:10, Rev 3:3,16:15]
Mat 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
Rev 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
The instruction is to always be ready.
Mark 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. {34} For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. {35} Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
The event comes like a thief in the night.
Lam 4:12 The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy should have entered into the gates of Jerusalem.
Prov 21:6 The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death. {7} The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment.
DIVINE INSPIRATION
2 Samuel 23:1-2 Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said, {2} The spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.
The concept of the Spiritual inspiration of the words of prophecy is fundamental to the understanding of the Key of David. Without which the words would not have as much significance. The belief that God the creator of words specifically put words in the mouths of the prophets.
2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Zec 8:23 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
1 Cor 14:21 In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.
The confoundment at Babel is the antithesis of the Day of Pentecost. At Babel, the people were united but not in God, their imagination was wicked. The people went from a single understanding (language) to diverse understanding at Babel. In Christianity the Day of Pentecost was a reversal. People of different languages understood the same thing.
THE SPIRITUAL WAR
Rev 12:7-9 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, {8} And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. {9} And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
The similarities or unions between the dragon, the beast and the whore. Instead of being viewed as different dominions, they can also be viewed as different aspects of a single dominion..
Rev 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
Rev 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
The biblical dragons. Pharaoh and the king of Babylon.
Ezek 29:3 Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.

Notice in the preceding a subtle similarity to Jonah in the belly of the whale and a similarity in the origin of the words for the animals.

So often angels are associated with power, but here's an example simply associating them with obedience to the LORD.
Psa 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

There are numerous widespread deceptions by the Devil and his host. Many encompassing the deception that the Word of God is not Truth. Often undermining faith in God and his Word, confounding understanding and drawing people away to everything except the truth of God.
2 Cor 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: {4} (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) {5} Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
In Rev. 19:13, The Word of God is personified
Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
The analogy between The Word of God and Jesus Christ is also shown in the prophecy of Psalms 2 and Acts 4:25.
Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
Psa 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. {5} Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure
Acts 4:25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? {26} The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. {27} For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
And the nations were angry at the judgment of their Maker.
Rev 11:17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
Rev 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
Here we see no great physical battles. The Lord executes his powerful judgment
Psa 46:5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. {6} The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. {20} And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. {21} And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
Oppression
Servants of God often get subverted when the message isn't pleasing, or doesn't fit into the popular scheme of things. Ultimately the battle isn't between man and man, but between the word of God and the word of men.
Lam 3:35 To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High, {36} To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord approveth not. {37} Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not? {3:38} Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?
And so one man speaks peace and safety, another speak of judgment day and The Day of the Lord. Which of them receives the greatest acceptance.
Acts 5:34-39 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; {35} And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men. {36} For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. {37} After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed. {38} And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: {39} But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
The persecution of the saints, and prophets. The s-i-n of oppression.
1 Th 2:16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
Some examples charge given to the servants of God. Notice also that judgment comes with or without warning.
Ezekiel 3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. {18} When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. {19} Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
Habakkuk 2:1 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.{2} And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
Rev 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: {17} For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
Who's afraid of the day of the Lord?
Isa 33:14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? {15} He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
exaltations
For God so loved the world that he gave his WORD that whosoever believeth on him should not perish but have eternal life. For God sent not his Word into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through it might be saved. John 12:32-33 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. {33} This he said, signifying what death he should die. Lifting up also symbolizes glorification and exaltation, not simply crucifixion. The honor and glory of a God faithful to his word and of the servant faithful and loving through agony even unto death. In comparative literal terms one can also imagine the WORD being glorified before men. There's a symbolic parallel between the physical crucifixion of the flesh and spiritual crucifixion of the WORD or doctrine.
John 3:14-21 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: {15} That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. {16} For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. {17} For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. {18} He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 12:30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. {31} Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. {32} And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. {33} This he said, signifying what death he should die.
The expulsion of Satan the deceiver and accuser and the exaltation of the word of truth. The four names (serpent, devil, dragon, satan) also shows an example of the multiple figures.
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. {10} And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
In the book of Genesis we see the serpent as the deceiver who tells Eve, you shall not surely die.
Genesis 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: {5} For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
In the book of Job we see Satan as a persecutor and also as the accuser.
Job 1:9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? {10} Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
Job 2:4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. {5} But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.
In the book of Zechariah we see Satan as the accuser of Joshua.
Zec 3:1-5 And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. {2} And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
In Luke Satan desires to tempt Simon as wheat, or to say as principal grain in the often used imagery of husbandry.
Luke 22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: {32} But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
GOD, The WORD , and TRUTH
Psa 89:34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. {35} Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
God, his Word and Truth are one. This is paralleled by the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. The Spirit represents the mind, the water represents the doctrine, and the blood represents the life. The witnesses of a man.
Deu 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. (Isa 65:16)
Psa 31:5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.
1 John 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. {7} For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. {8} And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; {17} Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
WHO IS LIKE GOD?

Who is like God? The question in my name.

Moses admonished the people not to make any similitude or figure to honor or worship as God. It was significant seeing no similitude in Horeb, but only hearing a voice. The event resists man's attempt to quantify or define God in terms of the carnal senses. They were left to mentally perceive the meaning of his words and not his dimensions. All the other nations had idols of wood, stone, silver, and gold. Associated with the objects were diverse philosophies or doctrines contrary to God. Worshipping men, animals, and inanimate objects. Neighboring practices that at times adulterated the worship of God and was spiritual fornication.
Deu 4:15-19 Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire: {16} Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female, {17} The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air, {18} The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth: {19} And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
Daniel did have visions, but he also received understanding through study.
Daniel 9:2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
The archangel
Michael the prince and archangel precedes the affliction and sounds the return of the Lord.
Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. {2} And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
Heb 5:4 And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron. {5} So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
Mark 2:22 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.
We see that the symbol of woman can encompass or include a man. Establishing a continuity. Therefore the child noted in Revelation 12 is "that which is noted in the scripture of truth" in Daniel 10:21.
Jer 30:4 And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah. {5} For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. {6} Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness? {7} Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
Jer 31:22 How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man. {23} Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; The LORD bless thee, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness.
In Exodus there is an example of godliness, in the sense of intermediation and speaking God's word.
Exodus 4:15-16 And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do. {16} And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.
Jer 15:19 Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.
From the aspect of Jesus as the word the concept is again emphasized. God in unity with the Word and the Word in unity with those that believe in it.
John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. {22} And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: {23} I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
The Lord was not in the great and strong wind, nor in the earthquake, nor in the fire but in the still small voice. The Godliness conveyed was not in power or might but in spirit. The attraction is to the inner man or the mind, not to the carnal. The appreciation and exercise of lovingkindness, judgment and righteousness is a mental accomplishment.
1 Ki 19:11-13 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: {12} And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. {13} And it was so, when Elijah heard it that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?
Micah 2:1 Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand. {2} And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage. {3} Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil.
Isaiah 48:18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea: {19 } Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me. {20} Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
THE LESSON OF ELIJAH
Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: {6} And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Luke 1:13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. ....{16} And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. {17} And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

Matthew 17:11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. {12} But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. {13} Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

Isa 49:7 Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

There is no savior besides the LORD.
Hosea 13:4 Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
However, his salvation is often manifested through saviours.[1 Sam 12:8-11] Those whom He sends.
Neh 9:27 Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.
Oba 1:21 And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD'S.
The greater honor being placed in the righteosness and grace of God, and his workings through his chosen. His upholding of examples and continuing forbearance. Each with a purpose ordained by the Lord.
Rom 9:11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
The man with the slow tongue,
Exo 4:10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. {11} And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
The child,
Jer 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. {6} Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. {7} But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
The shepherd. David's response to the Philistine's was much more enthusiastic and faithful. He summarized it best, for the battle is the Lord's. and not a reliance on fleshly ability. Neither eloquence, charisma, strength or stature that the greater glory be in the Creator. Honors for the lowly and abasing the proud.
1 Sam 17:47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord's, and he will give you into our hands. {48} And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. {49} And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.
The herdsman,
Amos 7:14 Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycamore fruit: {15} And the LORD took me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.
The importance of ordination and consecration can not be minimized. .

Uzziah was lifted by his strength and decided that he would not only be king, but perform some priestly functions too. As a result he was smote with leprosy.
2 Chr 26:18 And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, It appertaineth not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed; neither shall it be for thine honour from the LORD God.
Similarly Miriam was similarly afflicted(Num 12:10) for her rebellion.
Num 12:1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. {2} And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it. {3} And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?
The sons of Korah similarly became dissatisfied with their ordination.
Num 16:9 Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them? {10} And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also? {11} For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him? {12} And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up: {13} Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?
One way to distinguish between who's serving God, concerns who gets the attention or praise.
John 7:17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. {18} He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
Rev 22:8-9 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which showed me these things. {9} Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
The prophecy of Cyrus is an interesting example. Cyrus, called by name for God's purpose. Named and surnamed by the Lord.
Isaiah 45:1-7 Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; {2} I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: {3} And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. {4} For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me. {5} I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: {6} That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. {7} I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
In Zechariah we can see an example of the importance of ordination .Joshua is clothed with filthy garments.Garments here symbolize works. Another example is the Apostle Paul, who zealously persecuted Christians until he was separated by the Lord (Acts 9).
Zec 3:1-5 And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. {2} And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? {3} Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. {4} And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment. {5} And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
Symbolical bodies
The disputing about the body of Moses. The spiritual body of Moses being the testimony or law of Moses.

An example of the body being defined by those joined to or under it's doctrinal head is in Christ.

2 Cor 2:10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;
An example of attributing the deed of a person to the one whose will is ultimately behind the act.
Mat 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
PRIDE
2 Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
The caution against the disregard and conceit that contentment and achievement could bring. They were warned against a false sense of security and confidence in innate ability.
Deu 8:17-18 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. {18} But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. [Deu 8:11-14, Dan 4:30]
In Deuteronomy even the King was instructed to the law, that his heart would not be filled with pride over his brethren. Remembrance of the Lord maintained humility, and provided a responsibility to his subjects. Pride, false superiority leads to domination, and oppression. The less esteemed would be seen as lesser beings to exalt and please the more distinguished and be viewed as having little value themselves. An aspect of pride is the lack of recognition of the God who makes one to differ from another, or who sets and maintains one in power over another.
Deu 17:14 When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me;
Deu 17:18-20 And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites: {19} And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them: {20} That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.
The cherub's grandeur was a stark contrast to Christ , the King of Zion. God thereby placed the greater honor on that which could not be readily desired, or perceived through sight and touch. A marred visage, no beauty, lowly and riding upon an ass. The veneration was in justness and salvation.
Zec 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
Isa 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
Isa 52:13-14 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. {14} As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:
Isa 2:11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. {12} For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
THE TWO OLIVE TREES
Deu 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
{4} These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
The defense and judgment against the enemies of the testaments.
{5} And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
A reference to the perpetual or cyclical nature of prophecies.
{6} These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
A Satanic type symbolically kills them.
{7} And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
A place that is described symbolically where the doctrine of God was crucified.
{8} And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
{9} And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
Some people celebrate, relieved from the fear of God's judgment and thinking the prophecies are over.
{10} And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
After three and a half days, similar to Jonah in the belly of the whale, and the resurrection of Jesus. The Spirit enters them and they resume.
{11} And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
{12} And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
{13} And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Rev 11:14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
SPIRITUAL EGYPT
Exo 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Spiritual Egypt, Here we look at a place where the word of God was crucified.
{8} And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
The Sodom aspect provides some insight. Ezekiel gives the best description of the iniquity of Sodom.
Ezek 16:49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. {50} And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.
Most often freedom is defined or thought of in physical terms, overlooking . The mental bondage of fear and deception.
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. {33} They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
In fulfilling the prophecy is on one hand a reflection of Moses and the children of Israel's departure from physical bondage, but also foreshadows releases from spiritual bondage. Spiritual and literal sons coming forth from spiritual and literal Egypt. First the children of Israel, then Jesus Christ both from literal Egypt and then the Word from spiritual Egypt.
Hosea 11:1 When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.
Hosea 12:13 And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.
Mat 2:15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.
The freedom from fear of men
Psa 56:11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. (Psa 118:6, Prov 29:25)
Isa 51:12 I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;
The freedom from doctrinal falsehood and establishing the scriptures as the principal source of doctrine.
Isa 8:19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? {20} To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. [Gal 1:8]
Pharoah
Ezek 31:16 I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.
One characteristic of Egypt was a Pharoah that did not recognize the LORD. Ancient Egyptians considered Pharoah to be a god.
Exo 5:2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.
Following after the Egyptians, both literally and symbolically was rebuked. The derivation of shadow is similar to image or resemblance.
Isa 30:1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: {2} That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! {3} Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
Isa 31:3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.
Spiritual stones
Psa 118:22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
Probably, the most notable idol of the Ancient Egyptians was the pyramid. Although some might consider the pyramid a symbol of order and unity, one must remember the Godless unity and attempts at unification of times past and present. The tower of Babel, Napolean, Hitler, communism, and dictatorship. The ancient pyramid glorified men or Pharoah. Pharoah in many ways, being the god thereof. It is a good examples of men worshipping or honoring themselves and the work of their hands. Their philosophy of totalitarianism, oppression, idolatry and polytheism.
Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: {52} For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. {53} The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
2 Cor 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
1 Pet 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
The tried, and precious corner stone, a sure foundation(Isa 28:16). The deduction here is that the stone is the word of the LORD that the builders refused.
The Word lays the foundation and sets forth the true order for the house of God.
Isa 8:14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. {15} And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.
Isa 28:13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

These are specific examples of the concept of transliteration. In general, verbs transform to verbs. Nouns to nouns. Pronouns remain the same or similar. The overall sentence structure remains the same. Typically, unique pairs of roots that have a relationship maintain a relationship in their transliteration. The Rel. indicated includes some of the words with similar phonetics, meaning or derivations. Definitions and numbering are derived from STRONG'S COMPREHENSIVE CONCORDANCE OF THE BIBLE.
