Christ, Lo, I come

 

Psalm 40:6 through Psalm 40:8 ⁶    Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.

⁷    Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

⁸    I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

Jeremiah 15:15 through Jeremiah 15:17 ¹⁵O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke. ¹⁶Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. ¹⁷I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.
